What is True Pilates?
Julee teaches using the precision methods of True Pilates as created by Pilates founder, Joseph Pilates, a German native who emigrated to the United States with his transformative exercise system in 1926.
Pilates is based upon the six principles of control, concentration, centering, breath, fluidity and precision. Joseph Pilates’ original promise to his students was they could expect to notice a difference in their bodies within 10 sessions. He believed that dedicated Pilates students can achieve a different body and a new level of confidence in 30 sessions.
This original True Pilates method offered through The Pilates Place has the unique, proven ability to strengthen and balance your body for optimum performance, whether your goal is to run a marathon or simply to move through normal daily activities without restriction and pain.
Julee designs Pilates sessions for individuals and couples using specialized Gratz Pilates Reformer and other Gratz Pilates equipment to customize your health and therapy needs. All of her sessions are based in the principled teachings founder Joseph Pilates.
The Pilates Place also features a separate studio that accommodates small groups for mat pilates instruction.
